Virginia Woolf

Date of Birth: 12/31/1882 | Date of Passing: 03/28/1941 | Date of Funeral: 04/18/1941

Virginia Woolf was an English writer, and was one of the foremost modernist literary figures of the twentieth century. She was educated at home in London. Although, she loved the country side in Cornwall more than any other place she visited as a child. She was a prolific writer who’s sensitivity made her, perhaps, too sensitive for this world. She had several nervous break downs and long bouts of depression. She took her life in the Ouse river. Though she had success, a husband, and kids, happiness eluded her due to the state of the world at the time. She was given an old style cremation by her husband under an elm in the garden of onk’s House, their home in Sussex.
