Charlie Adkins

My Papaw Charlie died a month before I was born. So even though I never knew him, I was told by many that he not only knew I was “on the way” but that he loved me dearly. He died of a heart attack while cutting down a tree in the hills behind his house. I’m told that I have his laugh, and Mamaw used to tell me that I had his voice. He was one of those individuals that everyone who knew him loved him. I never had the chance to meet him, and love the memory of him. Oddly enough he is someone that dramatically impacted my life by ‘not’ being there. Love you Papaw.
