Lois was born on July 17, 1931 to her parents the late Alsie Newsome and Hannah Powell Newsome. She was the wife of the late Willard Logan, a homemaker, and a believer of the Old Regular Baptist Faith.

Along with her husband and parents, Lois was preceded in death by one son, Joseph W. Logan, two grandchildren, Allison Logan, Christopher H. Logan, one sister, and three brothers. Lois is survived by two sons, Phillip (Sheliah) Logan, Robert (Darlene) Logan, four daughters, Debra (Johnny) Sexton, Kathy (Perry) Adkins, Lesia Trent, Jill Logan, one brother, Harold Newsome, one sister, Brenda Newsome, fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends.
