Brownie (aka Blackie) Hamilton
Date of Birth: 10/31/2000 | Date of Passing: 10/12/2012 | Date of Funeral: 10/12/2012
Brownie was a loving cat that Rowan and Darrell used to feed on occasion when they first moved in on Elm Tree. She survived on her own for years but they would still give her food. One summer she got really fat then really thin. We assumed she was pregnant. They never got to see any kittens but it inspired them to take better care of her. She was given real food; soft and hard, and a water bowl with fresh water every other day. In the winter they brought her inside. Also on very hot days. Brownie loved to give back massages though she had no idea how sharp her claws were. They believed her to be about 12 years old. The last few years of her life, they believe, were the healthiest. Her activities increased and her coat had gotten shinier. Her body mass stopped going up and down and you could just tell she was happy. She would walk them to the car and greet them when they came back. She began to chase off all male cats. She also kept rodents out of the back yard. Before she passed they noticed she had an increase in water intake. Also she ate more but seemed tired all the time. She got a burial with candles lit and prayers said. She was a loving and well loved cat. She will be missed terribly. R.I.P. Brownie.
