Carolyn J. Owens, age 63, of Mt. Vernon, KY, formerly of Lexington, KY, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the Rockcastle County Regional Medical Center.

She was an author and spent the last several years of her life doing what she enjoyed, writing books.

She is survived by 2 Sons: Joshua T. Helton and Zachary R. Owens; 2 Sisters: Josephene (Jimmie D.) Stull and Dorotha Slone; 1 Brother: Dannie Owens; Brother-on-law- Henry Owens; Host of Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents- Bazle and Edna Owens; Sister- Helen L. Watson; Brother-in-law- Carl Slone; Sister-in-law- Lillie Owens.
